CIBC Caribbean Walk For The Cure 2026 5K Run/Walk

Walk for the Cure (WFTC) is CIBC Caribbean’s flagship crusade against cancer across the region.

As one of the Caribbean’s largest cancer fundraising and awareness initiatives, the programme has raised millions of dollars to support cancer care institutions.

The annual event, staged between September and October in the 10 countries where the bank operates, has grown into a powerful movement. Backed by a strong network of sponsors and the tireless efforts of hundreds of CIBC Caribbean employees, WFTC has become a truly life-changing initiative for organizations on the front lines of cancer care.

Proceeds from WFTC go directly toward purchasing and maintaining diagnostic and treatment equipment, providing care and counselling for patients and their families, and supporting vital education campaigns to build cancer awareness.

In Jamaica, CIBC Caribbean is proud to partner with the Jamaica Cancer Society to ensure the continued success of its impactful programmes.

Walk for the Cure 2026 – 5K Run/Walk takes place at Hope Botanical Gardens on Sunday, October 11, 2026, starting at 6:30 a.m. (Warm-up at 6:00 a.m.).

Route: Start at the Sunken Gardens then proceed to Hope Zoo, then left to exit at Hart Boulevard, then right onto Gibson Drive, right onto Phadrian Avenue left onto Widcombe Road, left onto Widcombe Drive, left onto Charlemont Drive, right onto South Monterey Drive, right onto Hope Boulevard, left onto Gibson Drive, right onto South Monterey Drive, left onto Hope Boulevard, left onto Old Hope Road to re-enter the Gardens through the Historical Entrance to finish on Palm Drive.

• All roads leading to the race route will be closed 6:15am and reopen at 8:30am.
• Qualified medical personnel will be on hand for cases of emergency.
• Adequate police security will be provided at race venue and along route.

Registration: Open to all individuals and teams – corporate, clubs, church groups, and family teams.

The deadline is Wednesday, October 7, 2026, or upon achieving the event limit, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

The contribution is $3,000 per person for individuals and teams and includes a premium race shirt (while supplies last).

Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.

Individuals and teams must register and pay online using a debit or credit card at www.runningeventsja.com.

Results: The event will be timed using the MYLAPS BibTag chip timing system, with results available after the race at www.runningeventsja.com.

Package Pick Up

Race packets must be collected before race day from CIBC Caribbean, 23-27 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5 on Thursday - Friday, October 8 - 9 between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm each day or on Saturday, October 10 between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. THERE IS NO NUMBER PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.
